Which payment methods are accepted on the Air France website?

Several different payment methods may be used on our website. The payment methods available to you may vary depending on the amount of time before your trip and whether you use the website or mobile app.

Secure and confidential payment

When you submit a payment on our website, your payment data is encrypted and transmitted via a secure connection. The encryption of information transmitted online is performed depending on the browser used, according to the highest standards (TLS 1.2).
Some transactions are processed through our partner Global Collect. Your payment data is transmitted to Global Collect via a secure connection and for the sole purpose of processing your requested payment. Your data is never communicated to third parties or used for commercial purposes.

Payment methods

Debit and credit cards

We accept the following payment cards: American Express, AIR FRANCE KLM – AMERICAN EXPRESS, Diners Club, Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron and UATP / AirPlus.

Please note that bank fees may apply in some countries. Payments made by Visa, Mastercard or Maestro may be subject to 3DSecure payment authentication.

Online banking

Online banking, or real-time online banking, enables you to pay for your online purchases securely. We accept online banking payments made through [Enets, Giropay, iDeal and Sofort]. This payment method may be used on our website up to 48 hours before your flight.

Payment instructions
During the payment process for your reservation, please select your bank and enter the required information. The total amount of your reservation is debited from your account as soon as your payment is processed. Once your bank confirms the payment, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket. This process generally takes less than 1 hour.

Bank transfer

You can pay by bank transfer if you book your trip at least 16 days before your departure date. Your bank may apply a bank transfer fee. Please contact your bank for more information concerning the amount of this fee.
Depending on your country, payments made by bank transfer may be processed by our partner Global Collect or by Air France directly.

Payment instructions
During the reservation process, we provide the bank information needed to process your bank transfer, including the IBAN and BIC codes for the receiving bank account.
You must proceed with payment within 3 days of booking your trip so we receive your payment in time to guarantee your reservation. To request a bank transfer, you must do the following:
  • Use your bank's online banking service (if your bank offers online bank transfers)
  • Complete a bank transfer request form at your bank
Depending on your country, please indicate the reference number (12-digit code located on the payment confirmation page and in the confirmation e-mail) or the reservation number in the payment instructions. This information helps us link the payment to your reservation.

As soon as we receive your full payment, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket.

Direct debit

You can pay by direct debit if you book your trip at least 16 days before your departure date. No additional fee is charged for this payment method.
Payments made by direct debit are processed by our partner Global Collect.

Payment instructions
During the reservation process, you must authorize our partner Global Collect to debit your account, on behalf of Air France, for the amount of your reservation. To do this, you must provide your bank information (account number, bank name, etc.), which is transmitted securely.
Global Collect then contacts your bank to process the payment. Once your bank confirms the payment, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket.

Voucher

You can pay online for all or part of your reservation using a voucher.

Payment instructions
When paying for your reservation, enter your voucher number in the dedicated field. You may use a 2nd voucher, with a maximum of 2 vouchers per passenger and 3 vouchers per reservation file. Next, validate each voucher by clicking the “Add” button. If the amount of the voucher is greater than the ticket price, a new voucher will be issued for the remaining balance.

Please note:
  • Vouchers are non-transferrable and must be issued in the same name as the name indicated in the reservation.
  • Each passenger may use up to 2 vouchers per reservation within a limit of 3 vouchers per reservation file.
  • Vouchers may be used to pay for flight options in the “Your Reservations” area, after purchasing a ticket.
  • Vouchers issued by KLM are accepted.
  • Vouchers issued in any currency are accepted.

Western Union Quick Pay

You can pay by Western Union Quick Pay if you book your trip at least 16 days before your departure date. This payment method enables you to pay in cash at the Western Union Quick Pay location of your choice. Transfer fees apply based on the total amount of the transaction.

Payment instructions
During the reservation process, download a Quick Pay form and locate the Western Union Quick Pay location nearest you using the Western Union website. You must print the Quick Pay form and submit it at a Western Union Quick Pay location to process your payment. The form contains a unique code (payment reference/account number) used to process your payment.
Once your payment is confirmed, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket.

Konbini

You can pay in cash using your local Konbini network.

Konbini enables you to pay for your ticket in cash at a Konbini location (or convenience store), ATM or Japan Post Bank. Processing fees apply. You can pay by Konbini if you book your trip at least 16 days before your departure date.

Payment instructions
During the reservation process, please provide all required information first. You will then see a confirmation page containing instructions on how to finalize your payment and a link to the Konbini form. You must print this form, as it contains the references needed to process your payment.
Once your payment is confirmed, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket.

Alipay

The Alipay e-wallet enables you to pay for your trip online in real time. This payment method may be used on our website up to 48 hours before your flight.

Payment instructions
During the reservation process, select the Alipay payment method first. You will then be redirected to the Alipay website to process your payment. You must provide your personal information (e-mail address, password, etc.). The total amount of your reservation is debited from your account as soon as your payment is processed. Once your bank confirms the payment, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket. This process generally takes less than 1 hour.

Boleto Báncario

You can pay in cash using your local Boleto Báncario network.

Boleto Báncario enables you to pay for your ticket in cash or online. Processing fees apply. You can pay by Boleto Báncario if you book your trip at least 16 days before your departure date.

Payment instructions
Once you submit your order online, Boleto Báncario will send you a pre-completed payment slip. It contains the reference number you can use to process your payment at an ATM, bank or online banking service.
Once your payment is confirmed, we will send you an e-mail containing your e-ticket.
